Mary's house originated as a two room log cabin built in the Snowy Mountains and reassembled on the river bottom. During the 1920's just as the old western town of Two Dot was booming, Mary's Place followed suit. An addition of rustic outbuildings, including the barn and sheep shed, were completed. Between 1920 and 1940 expansions to this rustic cabin included a living room, kitchen, dining area and an indoor bathroom
